Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): Member of Parliament, Nagaland, Khekiho Zhimomi visited the NRC on Mithun, Jharnapani on April 12. While welcoming the MP, Dr Chandan Rajkhowa, Director NRC on Mithun briefed him about the achievement of the research and extension activities of the institute in general and with special reference to the technology injection programme successfully implemented in farmer’s field.
The MP in his brief speech emphasid to work on habitat restoration and carrying capacity of Mithun in order to augment the productivity as well as to establish the linkage with the state department. Later he visited the different laboratories of the institute and interacted with the scientists. He also commented the research and extension activities to be encouraging one, and in positive direction and wishes all the scientists to continue their research activities in same spirit and progress.
