Phangnon Konyak at Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024 in Delhi on November 16.
Kohima, November 17 (MExN): S. Phangnon Konyak, MP, Rajya Sabha from Nagaland graced the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024, organised by Centre for Tribal Studies, University of Delhi on November 16.
The occasion commemorates 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, to honour his legacy and celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
This day was dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to recognise the courage, culture and contributions of India’s tribal communities.
Under Modi’s leadership, the recognition and celebration of tribal culture have been transformed, bringing their contributions and heritage to the forefront.
Phangnon Konyak thanked the Director and the faculty of Centre for Tribal Studies, University of Delhi for inviting her to be part of the Divas and expressed hope that the Centre for Tribal Studies will serve as a cornerstone of learning for all.
