KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 30 (MExN): Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President, S Supongmeren Jamir has extended his warmest Christmas greetings to every citizen and household across the state.
In his message, Christmas, Jamir stated, is a season when hearts are filled with gratitude and homes are filled with laughter. It is a time to reflect on the message of peace, love, and goodwill that binds us as a community. He emphasized that the festive season reminds everyone of the core values of compassion, hope, and unity that define the shared humanity of all.
Acknowledging the people of Nagaland’s rich traditions, resilience, and deep faith, Jamir called on the citizens to celebrate Christmas with purpose. "Let us honour Christ's humility, service, and sacrifice by turning our love into action," he urged, encouraging the public to reach out to those in need.
The MP highlighted that Christmas should be more than just a time of celebrations and material gifts. "Let this Christmas carry a deeper purpose," he said, stressing the importance of receiving Christ in our hearts. He reminded the people of Nagaland that the true meaning of Christmas lies in the gift of reconciliation and redemption brought through Christ's incarnation.
Jamir also quoted the words of John 3:16, emphasizing Christmas as a time to celebrate the revelation of God’s unconditional love for humanity. As the year draws to a close, the MP further called for renewed hope and determination in the New Year.
