DIMAPUR, APRIL 25 (MExN): Lok Sabha MP, Tokheho Yepthomi on Tuesday chaired the Mon District Development Co-ordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Mon.
In his address, the MP briefed about the purpose of DISHA and urged all concerned to utilize the government funds and schemes judiciously for the development of the people. He also observed that almost all the officers of the different departments were Nagas and they should hence consider it a blessing to be in this position to serve own people.
Bringing instances of neighbouring states in the development front, the MP lamented that development works in Nagaland’s districts was far from satisfactory and therefore called upon the officials of the different departments to fulfill their responsibility by performing their duties with utmost sincerity.
Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma in his welcome address expressed his gratitude to the Lok Sabha MP for making it to the meeting despite his busy schedule. He also thanked all the departments for attending the meeting and also for their power point presentations of their DISHA activities.
