
CHUCHUYIMLANG, May 26 (MExN): Foundation stone for Multi-Purpose Tribal Community Hall (MPTCH) at Chuchuyimlang was laid by Nuklutoshi Longkumer, Advisor to Chief Minister on Friday. Speaking at the programme, Nuklutoshi thanked state chief minister Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu for facilitating to obtain fund for construction of the multi-purpose tribal community hall in Chuchuyimlang immediately after assuming the office of the chief minister.
He said that the community hall will serve the needs of the Chuchuyimlang Village Council and whole community of the village at large for various purposes. He said that the construction committee will strive to complete the whole construction within a short span of time so as to enable the village community to ease with the hardships it is facing.
While delivering a short speech, Ao Sanen Pongen, Chairman of Chuchuyimlang Village Council said that the village community had suffered for almost two decades without having a community hall as the community hall which was constructed by Mejensanger Putu in 1930s was destroyed by a freak inferno.
He said that the village community was eagerly waiting for the new hall and urged the Advisor and the construction committee to construct the same at the earliest possible time.
Short speeches were also delivered by Tsuknungmatong, President of Chuchuyimlang Senso Mungdang and T. Maong Longhchar for Bendang Ali Chuchuyimlang Senso Union (BACSU).
Welcome address was pronounced Tsukjemtangit, Secretary of Chuchuyimlang Village Council and the programme was presided by T. Lima Pastor, Baptist Church Chuchuyimlang.
