
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The inaugural edition of MS Ahluwalia Memorial 3×3 Open Basketball Tournament will be held from September 27-28 at PWD Children’s’ Park Basketball Court, PWD Colony, Dimapur.
The tournament is being organized by the Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) in collaboration with Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA). The title sponsor of this event is the family members of Late MS Ahluwalia. The event will be held on a league-cum-knockout basis.
James M Bamon, a senior referee of Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and Meghalaya Basketball Association (MBA) will conduct the matches along with the local referees. He completed B Panel in the year 2006 at Kolkata and also completed A Panel in the year 2014 in Nashik, Mumbai. He will also conduct a short clinic for the local referees from 25-26 September, 2019.
The winners will receive a cheque of Rs. 20000 and the runners up will get Rs. 15000. The MVP Semis will receive Rs. 1000 each and the MVP Final will walk away with Rs. 3000.
