Peren, March 12 (MExN): The Mpai Students’ Union (MSU) recently launched an innovative career guidance programme.

MSU in a press release stated that Dr Suiyipeube Mpom, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Government of Nagaland in the keynote session, encouraged students to blend traditional studies with practical skill development, highlighting that career in cooking, management, and even coding via mobile platforms can run parallel to conventional education. “This approach paves the way for well-paid and service-oriented opportunities,” he stated.

According to Dr Mpom ‘meticulous planning is the cornerstone of career achievement’ and stressed that goal setting is key. “Planning is the most important aspect of your career choice. Once you have set your goal, work relentlessly and don’t over think your path,” he added.

Dr Mpom also brought attention to the current era of innovation, emphasizing that skills acquired through modem platforms, even via a phone, are increasingly vital. He passionately reminded students that their success benefits not only themselves but also their communities. “No one cares about your background if you are not moving forward. You have a duty to your village, your people, and your nation,” he remarked.
