Tseminyu, December 9 (MExN): Mt Terogvü Theological College, an educational ministry of the Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC), celebrated its golden jubilee with the theme ‘Jehovah Nissi: The Lord is our Banner’ at CRBC Mission Centre, Zunpha, Tseminyu district on December 7, a press release received here stated.
The function started with the unveiling and dedication of golden jubilee monolith by Rev Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary, CRBC. This was followed by the inauguration and dedication of Mt TTC multi-purpose building by Rev CH Wahi, former Executive Secretary, CRBC and former headmaster and Director of the College with the longest years of service.

The main programme was chaired by Rev Khisenlo Apon, Academic Dean, Mt TTC. The College Principal, Rev Dr Rushulo Seb, addressed the congregation with welcome note and acknowledged the significant people who have been part of the College from its inception. The College Anthem was introduced and sang for the first time by Helole Jishing, a student of Mt TTC.
The Golden Jubilee souvenir was also released by Gwanilo Khing, chairman, Board of Governors, Mt TTC. The highlights of the history of college developments and growth were enlightened by Rev Tenga Seb, former Executive Secretary, CRBC and who also a former headmaster of Mt TTC.
Rev Seb said that with God’s favour and abundant grace through His people, he witnessed how the College started with humble beginnings such as having facilities with half-brick and half-GI sheet buildings and few students. ‘And as years have gone by, the College is now developed with good buildings and facilities, qualified professors, and with more students,’ he said.
The jubilee message was delivered by Dr Kim In-Soo, Director, Dandelion Community, South Korea. He encouraged the congregation and especially the Mt TTC faculty and staff, and student community to go back to the basic and main purpose of the vision of the College. He also inspired the students to learn more than academics, trained with vocational skills in order to be equipped on how to live in the rural areas as missionaries and impart these to the people.
The blessing of prayer for Mt TTC was offered by Rev Andrew Semp, Secretary, Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM), and chairman of CRBC Ordained Ministers Fellowship.
The Jubilee celebration concluded with an extravaganza night with Bensilo Kent, Nagaland Best Gospel Composer awardee of 2014 as special performer, along with alumni and students community talents.
