Medziphema, October 29 (MExN): The Department of Horticulture, NU SASRD, Medziphema campus witnessed the wrap up programme of the week long Model Training Course (MTC) on ‘flower drying techniques and arrangements’ on October 28 with Rongsenla Ao, Director, Agriculture, Government of Nagaland, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
In her speech, she exhorted the trainees and the gathering to be sincere in all they do and to be willing to give an extra mile with a smile in business to achieve whatever the call may be. She also highlighted that in the flower industry, “creativity” is the key word and that one should be industrious because nothing comes free and nothing can be achieved with our hard work.
The programme was chaired by Prof. Akali Sema, HoD & Course Director, Department of Horticulture, NU SASRD, report of MTC was given by Dr. Rokolhu Keditsu, Course Coordinator and vote of thanks was pronounced by Dr. L. Hemanta, Course Co-coordinator.
The participants were awarded under various categories: Best participant – Nukshiwala, Department of Rural Development, GoN; Best flower arrangement – KVK, Zunheboto; Best card making – Sanchobeni, Department of Horticulture, GoN; Best bookmark making – Felice Ovung, Department of Land Resources, GoN.
