MOKOKCHUNG, JULY 5 (MExN): The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has condemned the sexual assault/abuse of two minors by one Dr Mapu, a “retired veterinarian and a deacon in one of the churches in Mokokchung town.” A press release from the MTLT stated that it is shocked, disgusted and totally distressed over the reported news. It appreciated the district administration and police for taking prompt action against the accused and reminded that the offender should be given the sternest of punishments. It further expressed concern and sympathy with the victims and their families, while asking the concerned government agencies to properly rehabilitate the victims so that the mental trauma that they have endured would be assuaged.
