Mokokchung, October 19 (MExN): The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has urged law enforcing agencies to thoroughly investigate the October 17 shooting where one person lost his life and deliver justice at the earliest.
A press release from the MTLT expressed “deep anguish” over the shooting incident where one Longshang Konyak lost his life. “The MTLT expresses our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and at the same time expresses the Mokokchung Police for taking prompt action and expediting the case,” it stated.
Meanwhile, it condemned the vandalization of IMDH hospital property on October 18 evening. “Such vandalism of a place of healing is totally unwarranted and unacceptable under any circumstance. Such unruly action has created a fear psychosis in the minds of the health workers in the IMDH and might have had a negative impact on the fragile health of the patients admitted in the hospital,” it said.
It expressed regret at the turn of events over the past couple of days and hoped that good sense will prevail as the people await the law enforcing agencies to deliver justice.
