Dimapur, March 31 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on March 30 conducted ‘raids’ at 14 suspected restaurants and lounges and recovered liquors and also apprehended six persons.
Informing this in a press release on Friday, the Dimapur Police PRO stated that it seized 72 cans and 20 bottles of beer, 15 bottles of gin liquor, and 40 bottles of Breezer at ‘Studio 69.’ One person, namely Onito Zhimo (25), was apprehended along with the alcohol and a case has been registered at East Police Station.
Similarly, at a location called ‘Dejavu,’ one Nuveta Venuh (23) was apprehended along with 40 cans of beer and a case has been registered at East PS. At ‘Escape,’ one Apulo Ayemi (34) was apprehended along with 48 cans of beer, 18 bottles of beer and 20 bottles of Breezer and a case has been registered at East PS, the PRO informed.
According to the PRO, at ‘Rooftop,’ one Vishal Chetry (35) was apprehended along with 48 cans of beer, 24 bottles of beer and 24 bottles of Breezer. At ‘Weke's Restaurant,’ the police apprehended one Pophizo (32) along with 44 pint bottles of beer, 9 canned beers, and 16 Breezer pints. Additionally, it also apprehended one Munguli Keor (25) from ‘Tipsy Restaurant’ along with 32 cans of beer, 50 pints of beer, 29 Breezer bottles, 4 bottles of assorted, and 1 bottle of wine. Cases have been registered at the West Police Station in this connection.
Meanwhile, on March 31, the OC Traffic, Chümoukedima apprehended one person namely Akabo Chishi from Nagarjan area in connection with a hit-and-run case. On search of the vehicle bearing registration number NL-01C-0706, a total of 39 boxes of sampex+ capsules were recovered, the PRO informed. In this connection, the seized vehicle along with the arrested person was produced to East PS for further investigation. And accordingly, a case has been registered, it informed.
