A multispeciality and cancer screening camp was held at Botsa Primary Health Centre on February 15.

Botsa, February 15 (MExN): A multispeciality and cancer screening camp was held at Botsa Primary Health Centre on February 15. A total of 130 individuals availed free medicines and free health-checks in various specialities including general medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, ophthalmology, and dental care.

Altogether 90 were screened for cervical cancer (pap smear), breast cancer, and oral cancer. 

Dr Ropfukolhou Dolie (MO Botsa PHC) along with 15 staff from Botsa PHC, 30 medical personnel from Dental Department NHAK, Chiephobozou block, Putuonuo Hospital Kohima, and Social Workers from Dr K&T Keditsu Foundation participated. 

The programme was chaired by Kechangulie Kense (Health Centre Management Committee Chairman), invocation prayer by Rev Rudilhou Rio (Senior Pastor, Baptist Church Botsa), address & vote of thanks by Dr Neiphrezo Sorunuo (Dental Surgeon, NHAK), and hosted by Dr Ropfukolhou Dolie (MO Botsa PHC).

This camp was organized by Dr K & T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, with support from the Biocon Foundation, Bengaluru, and Putuonuo Hospital, Kohima. Dr K& T Keditsu Foundation, is a registered public charitable trust founded in 2016, with a mission to serve the rural and underprivileged areas of Northeast India, with medical aid being one of the main objectives.
