KOHIMA, OCTOBER 7 (DIPR): The Municipal Affairs Department in a notification stated that in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 25(1) of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001, the Government of Nagaland has directed that general elections to constitute the Municipal Councils and Town Councils in the State are held as per the Schedule to be notified by the State Election Commission, Nagaland. Further, reservation of seats for women, in accordance with Section 23 A (1) the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001 (Amended), will be effected for the ensuing General Elections to the Municipalities. The details will be notified in due course.
