Kohima, June 8 (MExN): The rainy weather did not dampen the spirits of true music lovers in Kohima as a sizeable number of people braved the inclement Kohima weather and flocked the State Academy Hall to witness Alobo Naga and the Band and Cadence perform for the Free Handed 2013, a charity concert. The State event is being organized by Rockstar Entertainment International (REI) and Youth Oasis Centre (YOC) in partnership with Z.E.R.O Gravity, I love Mokokchung and Wenkhang Foundation, Mon. The proceeds from the charity concert, which is being organized under the theme “Experience the joy of giving,” will go to Poor Patients’ Fund in Mokokchung and Speak Guru Foundation (SGF), a non-profit organization that has been working steadfast for the needy children living with cancers in Nagaland. SGF has been touching many little lives, giving financial support to pay for the treatment, while helping them emotionally by way of visiting, playing and praying with them and their families. SGF also provides the children storybooks, videos and toys to keep them happy, positive and make them feel at home during their stay in the hospital.

Addressing the crowd Clement Imsong, expressed his gratitude to the audience for the support and also aiding them in helping the two charity Organisations. Alobo Naga speaking on behalf of the band, meanwhile attributed the Band’s success story in a short span of time to God. He expressed happiness for being a part of the Charity event, stating that it was a chance for the band to give something back to the society. Partnering REI and YOC for the Kohima event was Zero Gravity (ZG), which described itself as not a group of people, but a movement. ZG stressed that growth of society is directly influenced by the positive contribution of individuals, “and anyone who subscribed to Zero Gravity will pledge to promote one another without any vested interest, to work with one another without any fear or hidden agendas.” All India Radio will be broadcasting an interview of Clement Imsong on June 10, 2013 at 7:30 am on Channel 103.
