Musicians Guild to host World Music Day in Kohima

The Musicians Guild (MG) is gearing up to celebrate 8th World Music Day (WMD) 2023 on June 21 at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima.

Announcing this in a press conference here today at Symphony Café, MG President, Mele Pucho  said that WMD concert will feature Alobo Naga & The Band, Orange, Imliakum Aier & The Electric Cool Kid, KL Pamei, Azi Rudy, Fifth Note, Wishes and Dreams, The Gluttones, Renbeni Odyuo & Band and LC Sekhose.

Pucho informed that the artists will present three to four songs each.  “We want to give the best treat to audience,” he said and extended open invitation to everyone. WMD celebration in the state capital Kohima is initiated by Symphony Academy of Music, Kohima. 

The concert will start will start from 5:00 pm onwards.

WMD Dance Battle 1 vs 1 Open Style Battle (Battle of Best) will also take place from 3:30 pm onwards.

The event will also feature Food Courts. Interested groups/individual, who wishes to open stalls, has been asked to contact MG.  

Gate opens from 2:30 pm onwards and entry fee has been fixed at Rs 100.

This WMD will take place in collaboration with Audio Garage, Life Pro Productions, San Production, Toso Powerline, Highland Dawn Media, Metal Gear and Shiu Lights.

Other partners of the celebration includes; Elpis Academy of Music, Battleground Unisex Gym, 3E Nagaland, Galilee Music School, La Colline, 2K Hotel, Kros College, City Gym Kohima, Whito School, Disong Designs, Mon School of Music, Northern Sports, Synergy Enterprise, Medom’s BNB, India Trail, Kohima Computer Centre, KABXI, Olive Spring, Artworks, Geisuo Sounds, NK Enterprise, Été, Acoustic Wave, Alder Retreat, AK Events and IKO Coffee Lodge.
