Eid Ul Zuha or festival of sacrifice or greater Eid is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims.

Extending Id-Ul-Zuha’s greetings, Governor R.N. Ravi hoped that the auspicious occasion will strengthen social harmony and bonds of human brotherhood in the spirit of a composite society.  Eid Ul Zuha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic calendar.

The date is approximately 70 days (two months and ten days) after the end of the month of Ramadan. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of dhu al hijjah.

Meanwhile, the Kohima Masjid Committee thanked SP Kohima, DC Kohima, officers in-charge of North & South Police station, Governor of Nagaland for arranging Kohima Local Ground for the auspicious “Namaz” and for providing security.

Further, the Committee extended warm wishes to everyone on the occasion of Eid Ul Zuha.
