I am happy that the CEO Nagaland has taken serious steps towards purification of the Electoral Rolls. I wish we all understand that ‘My vote is my future, your vote is your future and our vote is our future; that, bogus vote ruins my future, bogus vote ruins your future and bogus vote ruins our future; and that, proxy voters are assassinators of my future, proxy voters are assassinators of your future and proxy voters are assassinators of our future.’ There is nothing greater than hope for the future in life. When there is no hope for the future, life is meaningless. Save your future, don’t allow yourself to destroy your future.
Accepting bribe for vote is accepting sale of future. Accepting bribe for vote is more than prostitution. Accepting bribe is sin and shall lose salvation for it is intentional corruption.
Having registered multiple votes only shows one is a liar before people and God. Voting by the under aged is dishonesty, unlawful and a sin. It will bring curse upon one’s future. One should avoid by all means.
BLOs and BLAs should strictly follow the law during authentication. There should be no bogus votes. All entries pertaining to name and age should be properly authenticated. Where the electoral roll is more than 65% of the census population or Church population, we demand that the District Election Officers should order re-enumeration.
In this purification drive of the voter list, I wish the people of Nagaland live up to the expectations of a Christian State.
We also want that the polling officers enforce the laws of election without fear or favour, affection or ill will. You have Magisterial power and security to enforce the law. We want the effective implementation of the provisions of the Constitution and the guidelines framed therein.
