DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 28 (MExN): A week since, the reported kidnapping of a schoolboy on September 21 last, the saga continues without any significant progress. One reason that has left police frustrated is the mystery surrounding the nature of the case i.e. whether the boy was abducted for real or was only picked up by ‘loan sharks’ with the intention to force his father to return long pending debts.
There are conflicting reports in this regard with even the police unable to deduce what actually is in the heart of the case. According to sources, the father is still not co-operative enough, who apparently is yet to open up with his side of the story, with investigators. The father reportedly has many unreturned debts to not one but several people. However, police are optimistic of an end to case and eventually, the safe return of the boy as according to the sources, they are piecing together the case bit by bit.
