NAA organises 5th Nagaland 10K – The Great Hornbill Run 2025

Officials of the NAA along with the winners of the Nagaland 10K – The Great Hornbill Run 2025 held at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence (RCSR), Sovima, in Chümoukedima on December 5.

CHÜMOUKEDIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): The Nagaland Atthletics Association conducted the 5th Edition of the Nagaland 10K – The Great Hornbill Run 2025 at the Regional Centre for Sporting Excellence (RCSR), Sovima, in Chümoukedima on December 5.  

A press update informed that a total of 126 participants registered for this year’s competition, representing various age groups and categories. The event showcased tremendous enthusiasm from athletes across different states of India, reflecting the growing interest in distance running and athletics. 

It informed that the event was sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, whose support played a crucial role in the successful organisation of the run. 

Speaking on the occasion, Neingulie Nakhro, Treasurer from the Nagaland Athletics Association congratulated all participants for their sportsmanship and expressed gratitude to partners, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting athletics and nurturing young talent in the state. 

Additionally, the Nagaland Athletics Association informed that the Nagaland Cross Country Championship is scheduled to be held on December 18, with registration open for citizens of Nagaland.

Men’s category (from 1st to 10th position): Kamal Kumar (Uttar Pradesh), Nitish Kumar (Uttar Pradesh), Kengimlungheing (Nagaland), Vishal Yadav (Uttar Pradesh), Tsole Yokha (Nagaland), Shiangjiu T (Nagaland), Phonyei Konyak (Nagaland), Son Eongti (Assam), Pradip Mahanta (West Bengal) and Changsang Wongto S (Nagaland).

Women’s category: Anamika Devi (Uttar Pradesh), Anjali Pratidar (Madhya Pradesh), Tsuchoi T (Nagaland), Nisha Kumari Shaw (West Bengal), Sangmir Teronpi (Assam), Songmo P (Nagaland), Niansai T (Nagaland), Chongsop P (Nagaland), Jemie Y (Nagaland) and Rutseinuo (Nagaland).
