The NAAC Peer Team handing over the Confidential Peer Team Report to the Principal, C-Edge College in the presence of the Peer Team members, IQAC Coordinator, BoG Chairman.

DIMAPUR, APRIL 16 (MExN): The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team which evaluates institutions for conformance to the standards of quality in terms of performance related to the educational processes and outcomes, visited C-Edge College for its 2nd Cycle of Accreditation on April 12 and 13.
The team comprised of Prof. JP Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of Mohan Sukhadia University, Rajasthan as Chairman; Prof. V. Manickavasagam, former Registrar and Dean (Management) of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu as Member Coordinator; and Prof. GL Reddy, Professor of Adult Education and Hrd, Dravidian University, Kuppam Andhra Pradesh as Member.
The members were welcomed on arrival at the College campus, and the first assessment process started with presentation by the Principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier. A comprehensive overview was presented on the College history, Vision and Mission, the academic and infrastructural facilities, and the future plans for development.
This was followed by a series of verification and interactions with various stakeholders. Meetings were held with all HoDs and departmental members, College staff, IQAC Coordinator, members of the BoG, representatives from Nagaland University and Department of Higher Education (Nagaland), students, parents and Alumni.
The proceedings of Day-1 culminated with a colorful cultural programme performed by the students of the college that was much appreciated by the Peer Team members. The 2nd day continued with document verification and inspection of various clubs and activities such as NSS, NCC, Waste Management system, Canaan Hands, Water harvesting unit etc.
The entire process concluded with the Exit Meeting in the evening where all members were assembled including the representatives of the student body. The meeting was chaired by IQAC Coordinator Wapanginla Ao and welcome speech delivered by the Principal, Dr. Chubatola Aier.
The Principal expressed happiness with the process as a great learning experience and called on all to work ceaselessly in the forefront as warriors for academic excellence, and to instill the cutting-edge mindset for progressive gains.
The Chairman of the Peer Team shared that everyone talks of “quality” but this cannot be achieved by isolated factors; it is a continuum where all management, faculty, staff, students and stakeholders should play their due role.
Prof. Manickavasagam and Prof. Reddy also shared their observations and experiences. All the members lauded the efforts put in by the College in spite of many constraints and expressed the view that if the present pace of engagement is sustained, they hope to see major enhancement by the 3rd Cycle visit. They said that they will leave with sweet memories.
Er. Moa Aier, President and Chairman, BoG C-Edge College expressed his appreciation to all members who worked tirelessly for the success of the 2nd Cycle assessment and accreditation. Particular gratitude was extended to representatives from Nagaland University, Higher Education, members of the BoG, and all stakeholders who gave their precious time. The College remains grateful for the invaluable inputs and constructive suggestions shared by the Peer Team members.
The exit meeting of the two days PTV ended with the vote of thanks by the IQAC Coordinator; then the Chairman, Prof. Sharma formally handed over the Confidential Peer Team Report to the Principal in the presence of the Peer Team members, IQAC Coordinator, BoG Chairman, and the faculty, staff and students in the meeting.
