NABA establishes first batch of “Khelshala” in Nagaland

Students joined the first batch of Khelshala project at Model Higher Secondary School Kohima on April 20.

KOHIMA, APRIL 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Aainball Association (NABA) has established the first batch of "Khelshala" for Nagaland under the leadership of NABA president Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA & Leader of NPF Legislative Party.
 

The state’s first batch of the Khelshala Project was introduced on April 20 at Model Higher Secondary School Kohima. The Khelshala Project aims to promote the Fit India Movement through AAINBALL sports.
 

It aims to bring different sports skills under one umbrella and train sports enthusiasts to be physically fit for participation in any competitions of Khelo India, Indian Olympic and so on. The "Khel Ambassadors" of the Aainball Game will be trained under SPEFL, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to run the Khelshala smoothly and promote it in schools, colleges & universities at the maximum possibilities.
 

Recently, NABA completed the 38 Khel Ambassadors training and now these sports entrepreneurs are ready to open the Khelshala at various districts of the state.
 

Aainball Federation of India, vice admiral S.N Ghormade congratulated and welcomed the Model Higher Secondary School Kohima to establish the first Khelshala of the state. It will provide new opportunities and platforms to the young athletes mainly women in the district, state, national and even at the international level, he stated.
 

Aainball is a mixed gender game and Aainball Federation is also coming up with "Fit Mothers International League" where Khelshala participants will get the opportunity to showcase their talent at global level.
