Tening, May 3 (MExN): The Limelight Foundation Tening organised the 3rd Tening Sub-Division Football Tournament from April 30 to May 3 at Tening Village Local ground with Joseph Zeliang, Circle inspector Kohima as the chief guest.
In the inaugural function, Zeliang briefly addressed that sports like football brings better understanding and unity among the younger generation and it gives positive thoughts. He encouraged the players to show their best discipline while playing.
The final match was played between Tening Village Youth Organization and Tening Town Youth Organisation, in which the Tening Village Youth Organisation lifted the winner trophy scoring 5-0.
Khangkinwi of Tening Town Youth Organization was awarded best player while Tingthui of Rising club Tening was awarded best goalkeeper. Dihube Doson of Tening Village Youth Organization bagged the title of Top Goal Scorer.
The closing ceremony was graced by Namsilung, President BJP Peren District as the special guest. This stated in a press release issued by the Media Cell, Limelight Foundation Tening.
