
Our Correspondent Kohima | June 3 A two day long national level two wheeler competition-NAC Open Supercross organized by Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) under the aegis of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) concluded here today on a successful note. Youth Resources & Sports Director Asangla Imti graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honour and gave away prizes to the winners. Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resources & Sports, Music Task Force & State Lotteries, Khriehu Liezietsu, who is also patron of NAC was also present at the closing ceremony. The competition witnessed 33 participants under novice category, 21 under open category, 11 under expert category and 10 under local category from Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi and Nagaland. FMSCI senior steward SPS Garcha was all praise regarding the standard of the conduct during the event. He said that motorsports has a lot of potential in the state of Nagaland. He said the youth here have passion, which will go a long way to attain prominence in the field of motor sports. He also assured all possible support to NAC to carry forward its activities in the state and beyond. NAC president Paul Rutsa thanked each and every individual towards the success of the event. He also made a plea to the government to allot a plot to facilitate construction of a permanent track to promote motor sport in the state.
