Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) president, KK Paul Rutsa passed away here on July 16. He was 38 years old.
Several people turned up at the funeral service this afternoon and paid tribute to the departed soul. Paul was later laid to rest at his private residence at Tseikedi, P. Khel, Kohima Village.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Fr. Paul Punii, sdb, Rector & Parish Priest, Christ King Parish, Kohima village, while Kevidezo Peter Rutsa and Vilie-o Rutsa spoke on behalf of the family.
“Indeed a very promising youth leader has been cut short by this sudden tragedy. It is a great loss to our society and the youth particularly Kohima Village Youth Organization,” stated Kohima village council chairman Dr. Neiphi Kire in a condolence message which was read out at the funeral service.
Expressing shock over the sudden demise of Paul Rutsa, Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries stated, “In his death the organization has lost a magnanimous member whose guidance and advice we have always solicited. His generosity and contribution towards the trading community will be forever cherished.”
“Late Khriekeso Paul Rutsa was a selfless, dynamic and visionary leader who had contributed immensely in different capacities. His passing away has caused an immeasurable loss not only to KVYO but the village as a whole. His absence will leave a deep vacuum in our society,” stated Kohima Village Students’ Union.
The Suncity Club Kohima also stated, “Khriekeso Paul Rutsa was an upright and straight forward person bestowed with God gifted innovative talents, who always sacrificed and was also a truly adventurous and daring person.” Paul Rutsa, who was associated with many organizations, was an adviser to the Club.
Several condolence messages also poured in from different corners, including Royal Enfield Riders Association of Meghalaya.
Deputy CM, ANCSU offer condolences
Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y Patton has mourned the demise of KK Paul Rutsa, younger brother of Peter Rutsa, Nagaland State BJP vice president. In a condolence message, he stated that KK Paul Rutsa was known for his bold radical ideas and his contribution to the Naga society was immense. A sport and adventure lover and a successful entrepreneur, his sudden demise is a great loss for the Nagas, Patton added. He was also regarded as a man of integrity, the message said. The Deputy CM further conveyed condolences and prayer to his family members and the motor sports fraternity of Nagaland.
The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) in a separate condolence note expressed shock and sadness over the sudden demise of its senior member KK Paul Rutsa. Paul Rutsa was the social and cultural secretary of ANCSU for the tenure 2001-03. “Paul was an inspiration to many youths in particular and society in general. His untimely demise has caused a huge loss to the youngsters and Naga society,” stated the note from ANCSU president, Katho P Awomi. It added that his contribution towards the union will be cherished by the ANCSU family. The union also extended its condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that his soul rest in peace.
