DIMAPUR, FEB 28 (MExN): The ‘passing out’ ceremony of the ‘Naga Army’ (NSCN-IM) was observed at Mt. Gilead Training Centre. Kilo Kilonser, GPRN, Rh Raising was chief guest while Education Kilonser Tongmeth Wangnao and Information and Publicity Kilonser Johnny Dilbung attended as guests of honour. “The Chief Guest exhorted the congregation during the function, followed by a spectacular drill displayed by the Naga Army personnel,” a release said. The oath of allegiance was declared by the Deputy ‘Longvibu’, Major General Markson and administered by the General Field Training Officer Major Ch Shimrang, Naga Army, to more than 500 newly passed recruits.
“The guests of honour conveyed their speeches of encouragements and in up keeping and inherently cultivating the true spirit and discipline of the Naga Army,” according to the release. Special songs were presented by the GFTD. Benediction was pronounced by 2nd Lieutenant Apam, Chaplain of the Training Centre.
