Naga Council Dimapur issues festive greetings, urges public to maintain peace

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), in its Christmas and New Year greetings, reiterated its earlier appeal to the public to refrain from any activity that could disturb the peaceful atmosphere during the festive season.

Stating that Christmas is a time for families and communities to share hope, peace and joy, the NCD urged citizens to uphold the spirit of unity and reconciliation as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Council expressed hope that the spirit of Christmas would guide the people towards greater cooperation, peace, progress and renewal.

Extending festive greetings, the NCD wished all citizens of Nagaland, particularly those in Dimapur, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2026.

The Council also informed that its office will remain closed from December 16, 2025, to January 15, 2026, on account of the Christmas and New Year season.
