Six Naga darters- Limatoshi, Vikehelie Suohu, Kezhaletuo Semou, Lijan Humtsoe, Simon Angami and Viboto Sumi have participated at the PDC World Cup of Darts India qualifier 2025 from April 26 to 27 at Bengal Rowing Club, Kolkatta.
A total of 133 Indian citizen players from across the country have participated to book the coveted top two rank to represent India at World Cup of Darts which is to be held from June 12-15 at Frankfurt , Germany.
Lima Longchar came close to take a slot at India team contingent who finished rank 3 by reaching quarter final, semi final and final respectively at the three series of qualifier rounds.
Lima missed the crucial points on the final match against India No 1 Nitin Kumar in the Qualifier 3.
However, Lima has been invited to be the standby player for Team India in case of any last minute hiccup to the two top ranks.
The selected India team is Nitin Kumar (No1) from Dubai and Mohan Goel (No2) from Kolkata.
Meanwhile, another two players- Vikehelie and Kezhaletuo also participated at the annual BRC championship prior to the India qualifier from April 23-25 l where the duo as part of 6 members DITVIAAN team emerged as winner in the team event.
Kezhaletuo with his partner Viral Metha from Kolkata emerged as winner in the BRC Open Doubles and also finished at top 16 in the men’s BRC open singles category.
