Naga fighter wins bronze at Bengaluru MMA Open C’hip

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Nagaland’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Lanumongla Jamir, member of "All Contact-Combat Arts" Club bagged bronze medal at the National 4th Bengaluru MMA Open Championship 2018 held from July 12 to 15 last.  

Alan Fernandez, India's first World champion and Chief Commissioner of the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) commented "Nagaland fighters have it in your blood. You just need to let the fighters understand more about the theory of the discipline."  

On another note, Welterweight champion from Iran commented, "I would have loved to fight with Keyisuiding of Nagaland. He had the best kicking moves."  

Keyisuiding Lungalang's early fight was stopped by the doctors' decision owing to injury.  

"All Contact-Combat Arts" Club members, comprising Vire Nukhu as team coach, participants/category -Lanumongla Jamir (Straw weight), Bharat Kumar (Fly weight), Keyisuiding Lungalang (Welterweight) and Vechita Khesoh as team manager participated in the Championship.
