Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): In a shocking incident, a 16 year old Naga girl (name withheld) was found raped, murdered and body dumped along the banks of Chate River. The girl’s dead body was discovered by residents of Holohon Colony, who informed the police at about 7:00 am, this morning. The body was retrieved and taken to the district hospital for identification and post mortem. According to the post mortem report, the dead body bore two bullet wounds on the forehead and one below the left ear. The police said that bullets went through the forehead and came out through the back of the head, while the other bullet came out through the right ear. The police suspect the victim was shot point blank. The post mortem report also confirmed rape. The victim is also suspected to have been hit in the face with a rifle butt. The victim is reportedly a resident of 3rd mile in Dimapur and was visiting a relative at Ura Village. She reportedly went missing Saturday evening at about 5:00 pm. The victim’s body was later identified by family and taken away. The family has lodged and FIR in the Dimapur Women Cell.
