Naga Hoho and Naga organisations from Myanmar express need to work for unity

Naga Hoho request Chairman Khaplang to renew Cease-fire agreement with GoI

Kohima, October 1 (MExN): The Naga Hoho had an interaction with the visiting team of Naga Yuya, Council of Naga Affairs (CNA) and Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA), Myanmar on October 1 at Hotel de Oriental Grand, Kohima.  

The Naga Hoho, Communication Cell in a press release informed that the meeting deliberated on the strengthening of Naga organisations both in India and Myanmar and also to have better co-ordinations and unity among the Nagas across the border. The visiting team also invited the Naga Hoho and its Federating units to visit Naga areas in Myanmar during their New Year festival and have a joint meeting and interaction with the people.  

The Naga Hoho through the visiting team also conveyed the message to leader SS Khaplang, Chairman of NSCN (K) to reconsider the “wishes and aspiration of the Naga people living in India and thereby renew the Cease-fire Agreement with the Government of India in the larger interest and unity of the Naga people.”  

Further, the delegation from both sides expressed its paramount needs to work for unity among the people both in India and Myanmar.
