Sometime back, some people in China started a morning meditation Exercise in the public Parks for the good of the Mental and the Physical health of the people. The Program took on great enthusiasm and within a short time an increasing great number of practitioners came to the Parks and empty places for the Exercise in the morning.
The Communist Government got suspicious and frightened and promptly banned the harmless Exercise. The Communist Government felt the spontaneous growth of many people into a big Group pose threat to their Power and Status Quo of the Party. The Government banned the peaceful Group.
The Imperial Roman Government at the time of Jesus was always suspicious of Jews gathering in big numbers in the public places and this fear made the Roman Commander snatch Paul away from the Jewish Mob clamoring for the blood of the harmless Evangelist.
The Naga Hoho President Keviletuo Keyho and its General Secretary P Chuba Ozüküm said the People of Nagaland State in attempting to form a Civil Body of their own is:
i. The work of some “vested Interest People” to dissect the sanctity of Naga Hoho.
ii. It is irrational to form such a Body when trying to find a solution to the Naga political Settlement.
iii. The Body would divide the Naga Brethren further.
There are civil Naga Bodies of Manipur, of Assam, of Arunachal and of Myanmar to look after their own specific needs in their own places. It is the wearer who best knows where their Shoe pinches. In forming any local Naga Bodies in outside Nagaland, the Nagas of Nagaland had nothing to say except express goodwill and best wishes for those Bodies. If Nagas of Nagaland have anything against the Naga Bodys of outside Nagaland, it will be seen as vested Interests it has none.
‘Vested Interest’ means ‘expectation of gain’; I hope the Naga Hoho has no ‘vested interest’ in opposing Nagas of Nagaland in the formation of a Nagaland Body by the people of Nagaland?
I do not find any reason why Nagas of outside Nagaland would have anything to do against Nagas of Nagaland forming a Body to cater to the specific needs of the Nagas of Nagaland. I hope the Nagas of outside Nagaland has nothing against? If they have anything against; it will be seen as vested interest and if so, it will affect the cohesion of the Naga Brotherhood, then worms may enter the Timber that constitute the main Posts of the House of the Nagas.
I hope the Naga Hoho did not interfered in the formation of the local Bodies wherever the local people have formed other than expressing goodwill and best wishes?
The President and the General Secretary Naga Hoho alone do not possess any especial endowment to specially discern the Sanctity of the Naga Hoho or the important juncture of Naga Political Settlement. As of now, by no stretch of imagination do see the people of Nagaland forming a Body of Nagaland by themselves pose any ‘Irrelevance’ or ‘dissectthe sanctity of the Naga Hoho’ or ‘divide the Naga Brethren’. Any ordinary Naga can see it; May God help them gain such discerning power if and when they become Legislative Assembly Members of Nagaland one day.
Every People has every free right to form any lawful Organizations in their own interest; Nagas of Nagaland need no permission to form their own lawful civil Body by themselves for themselves at any juncture.
They do not require any Permission from any Ban Ki Moon.
