Naga Hoho call emergency meet with tribe hohos’

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): The Naga Hoho has called for an emergency presidential council meeting and has appealed all tribe hoho presidents and well wishers to attend the said meeting scheduled on November 26 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. The meeting shall deliberate particularly on the succession of new Naga Hoho team.  

“The tenure of present incumbent has come to an end and we are unable to elect a new team owing to various factors. Notwithstanding, our conscience does not allow to leave the office or dismantle Naga Hoho without handing over to the new incumbent considering the magnitude of its responsibilities at this crucial moment,” a letter of appeal made by Naga Hoho vice president Samson Ramei read.  

While committing and resolving to keep up the tradition by installing a new set of leadership, the letter of appeal said the president and executive members’ tender apology to all the Naga Hoho members, past leaders and tribe hohos for “our limitation and inadvertent errors that might have been committed while trying to discharge duties and responsibilities.”
