Naga Hoho flays Longding incident

Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The Naga Hoho on May 17 issued a statement condemning the incident at Longding and called the action of the Indian Army as "barbaric".

The statement issued by the Naga Hoho Communication Cell said that the innocent public are the worst sufferers and “the villagers are never safe in the hands of the so called security forces.”

It claimed that while the Nagas await the hard earned peace process to arrive at a logical conclusion, the Indian security forces persistently violate the Human Rights against the Naga people.

“The frequent operations against the Naga people prove that, India is not sincere to the Peace process and honour its commitments,” the Naga Hoho stated.

It reminded of the United Nations’ call for armed groups across the world for a global ceasefire and said that the Government of India must maintain the same spirit.
