Naga Hoho to seek wisdom of Tribe leaders

Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): The Naga Hoho, dismayed after receiving only two nominations from two tribes for the ‘Unity and Reconciliation Committee’, has called for an extra-ordinary Federal Assembly at Kohima Zonal Hall from on July 11 at 10 O’clock.

A press release issued by the Secretary, Naga Hoho Federal Assembly, Kenyuseng Tep, while calling for the meeting, stated that as fixed earlier, the Naga Hoho held its meting on June 10 with regard to the Unity and Reconciliation Committee, however, the release lamented that out of the nine tribes including an organisation who were asked to submit their nominee to the Hoho, failed to do so. The release disclosed that only two tribes; the Aos and the Sumis submitted the names of their nominees to the Hoho. In this regard, the release informed that the Executive Council could not come to any conclusion.

Apparently not discouraged by the disappointing response from the tribal Hohos, the release stated that ‘Naga Hoho is compelled to seek the wisdom of the Naga tribal leaders once again’, for which, the extra-ordinary Federal Assembly was being called.

In this regard, the release requested all the constituent tribes of the Naga Hoho, including leaders of the Eastern Naga Peoples Organisation to attend the meeting positively.
