Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): Mezivolu T Therieh, District & Sessions Judge, Phek (Nagaland Judicial Service) has been appointed as Additional Registrar in Supreme Court of India.

The appointment is on deputation basis, initially for a period of one year with effect from September 21, an office order from the apex court stated.

In her new assignment, Therieh will look after the work of Supreme Court Legal Services Committee (SCLSC), Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) and Supreme Court Mediation Centre (SCMC).

Meanwhile, Therieh has expressed delighted on being appointed for the new assignment in the Supreme Court registry.

At a farewell programme organised by Phek District Court staffs and Phek District Legal Services Authority on September 14, she expressed gratitude to Chief Justice of India SA Bobde for the “prestigious position given to her.”

Therieh stressed on the importance of hard work, saying that there is no substitute for it, a press release then informed. 

The then District and Sessions Judge, District Court, Phek- cum- chairperson, District Legal Services Authority also expressed gratitude to God on being assigned the post of DSJ Phek since May 23, 2019.

She also appreciated those who worked under her Judicial Magistrate of First Class/District Court including the Prosecution, PI and staff and Judicial staff and further lauded the administration, police and jail authorities for their cooperation.
