Kohima, January 30 (MExN): In a major political development under Phek district, more than 2000 voters from different parties joined NPF party under 19 Phek A/C on January 29 to support and strengthen the leadership of Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, the current local MLA and incumbent Home Minister. While addressing and thanking all the newcomers, Azo thanked the Almighty and the people of the constituency for always standing by his leadership in both good and bad times. He stated that it was only God’s will that reconciliation within the party had taken place and therefore total reconciliation had taken place at the CEC for which he thanked party President Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and Chief Minister TR Zeliang for their sincerity and commitment towards the reconciliation process and for allowing the same to take place in letter and spirit. With the reconciliation process, the Minister stated that if it is the will of the Almighty, the NPF will form the Government for the fourth consecutive time with absolute majority crossing the magic number on or before March 7 with TR Zeliang as the Chief Minister. In this, he urged all party men and women to stand by the party and not be swayed by money. Meanwhile, Azo stated that if it is the will and in the greater interest of the Nagas and if all political parties agree to deferment of elections, he and his people should also follow suit as “Naga political issue is above all other issues”.
