Dimapur, August 3 (MExN): The Nagaland People's Action Committee (NPAC) has urged the Government of India to demonstrate its political will to deliver on its promises with regard to the Naga political solution.
In a press release on Wednesday, the NPAC maintained that all the civil society organizations (CSOs), tribal hohos and the Core Committee of the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue have a clear stand on early Naga political solution.
“The NPAC constituted by the CSOs and Tribal Hohos representing the people shall work towards this consensus and pursue for an early Naga Political solution. We anticipate full support of the Tribal Hohos, CSOs and the Parliamentary Committee of Nagaland to extend its unflinching support towards the common cause and stand firm on people’s voice so that the people in authority will not take us for a ride,” the release stated.
The NPAC further stated that the people are seriously observing whether the Core Committee of Parliamentary Committee is ‘walking the talk’ on the 4-point resolution adopted earlier on July 16.
Along these lines, the NPAC emphasized that the Public Rally scheduled on August 5, “is on the same page of the above resolutions” and maintained that all concerned should support the rally in letter and spirit.
“We further maintain that the people on the ground want solution and prepare to create a clear passage for smooth landing of Peace and Solution to the Nagas,” it added.
