New Jersey, May 29 (MExN): A Naga man has been ordained a priest in USA at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, New Jersey. Mhonchan Ezung was ordained by Bishop James Checchio on May 28 with two of his classmates. In his sermon, Bishop Checchio welcomed the newly ordained priests and exhorted them to make Jesus Christ as the center of their lives, and to live a sacrificial and faithful life as priests.
Fr. Mhonchan Ezung, who hails from Longsa village in Wokha district, is the first Naga to be ordained a Catholic priest in the US. He is ordained for the Diocese of Metuchen in New Jersey. On Sunday, May 29, he offered his First Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
