DIMAPUR, JANUARY 2 (MExN): Heikiesilie Guing won silver and Linukjungla Imsong grabbed bronze in boxing at the 62nd National School Games held from December 25-29, 2016 at Gwalior. From Indira Gandhi Sports Academy, Kohima, Guing and Imsong competed in the 59kg and 44kg categories, respectively.
The team from Nagaland comprised 6 girls and 9 boys with two of the girls winning medals, stated a press release. The team was led by coach Tsungchetrenla Tzudir and team manager Gaurav Dewan Rai. 25 teams in all participated in the school nationals.
Haryana emerged as the overall team champion followed by Madhya Pradesh in second place.
