The Naga Reconcilation

The dawn is breaking; the time is coming for Nagas everywhere to sing a new song as the Naga Reconciliation is declared and the Naga political goal being set on common track.
Acknowledging the wrongs and deepest hurts inflicted on one another, the highest Level Naga Political Leaders have forgiven each other, are prepared to understand one another toward a shared future, and agreed to strengthen and broadened the peace process based on the uniqueness of the Naga history. The long-desired step is taken. The divine nature of forgiveness must be preserved and sustained so that the old bone of contention may never appear again. They finally RECONCILLED on the basis of the historical and political rights of the Nagas and resolved to work together for the territorial integrity of all Nagas with the understanding that any interim soluti0on shall be “Outside the purview of the Indian Constitution per se.”
The Five-day meeting resulted in the most significant resolution in principle to work towards the formation of ONE NAGA NATIONAL, GOVERNMENT for which a HIGH LEVEL Commission, HLC, has been formed to expedite the process. Besides being indicative of the level and quality of debates and discussions with a shared vision, these are very commendable new developments with great challenges, opportunities and tremendous responsibilities for everyone.
A new chapter of history is emerging and we need to give new pragmatic perception to our history and situation. In our uniqueness lies our commonalities which are far greater than our differences and divisions. It is time to re-discover and focus on our commonalities and strive for stronger cooperation, active engagement and positive participation in reconciliation, peace and unity which is not only a present necessity but will continue to be a divine mandate in our forward movement and a sound foundation in nation building process. The night is far spent and one should wake up to the new day of love and hope, honesty and integrity, sincerity and seriousness as God’s people. We believe in God. Can God believe in us?
The CNBC, re-christened as Fellowship of Naga Baptist Association, FNBA, wish to express its sincere appreciation and heartily congratulate the FNR and all the top Naga Political Leaders for all positive developments. May God keep you under the shadow of His hands as you together and prepare the road-map of the Naga political future.
