
Kohima, April 11 (MExN): The Association of Naga Tailors (ANT) is all set to organise two-day Naga Tailoring and Allied Trade Show on April 12 and 13 at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima under the theme ‘Nurturing Naga Tailors and Fashion Designers.’
Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) will be the special guest at the opening ceremony on April 12 at 9:40 am.
The two-day event will be marked by exhibitions, sales, orders, free consultations from all exhibitors, competitions, workshops, plenary sessions, admission to tailoring and designing institutes, book launch, recruitment etc.
It will witness Naga designers and tailoring firms from the districts of Kohima, Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Tuensang, Mon, Wokha, Tseminyu, Senapati, Ukhrul, Mao etc, designing and tailoring institutes, home based designers and tailors, Naga start-ups in this sector, fabric shops, stationery/accessories shops, sewing machine & tools shops etc.
Some exhibitors from northern states of India are also expected to attend the show.
The speakers of the plenary sessions will includes Rosu Rhi, President Naga Designers Association, Bambi Kevichusa, Proprietor Bambi K Dimapur, Liyingbeni, Proprietor Liying Clothing, Easternlight Zimik, Proprietor East Ukhrul, Regina Chakrunuo, Proprietor Regina Medziphema, G Sanalu Panmei, Proprietor of Vintique Tech Kohima, Neisa Rupreo, Proprietor NR Studio Kohima, Bangdwa Lunglung, Proprietor B Studio Kohima, Neikhozoto Savino, Principal Savino Tailoring Institute, Theja Sekhose Proprietor TS Academy of Design & Sentitola Ao, Proprietor Centy J. and Roupfuzhano Whiso, digital creator.
The organiser is targeting audience from all fashion and tailoring students (both present & alumni), tailoring, designing firm, shop, institute owners, secular final year students, graduates, illiterates or school dropouts who want to venture in this profession, youth department representatives of churches etc. Target audience for the workshops includes designers and tailors who want to learn specific new skills, fashion & tailoring alumni, beginners etc.
