Registration for the 3rd edition of Naga Talents Promo 2014 formerly known as Nagas Got Talent, an event managed by Pheto Music Association (PMA) Dimapur is already open and the same will close on May 31.
Informing this through media at PMA office Dimapur on Thursday, PMA founder Kashito Kiba said the earlier events have been a tremendous success and overwhelmed by the response, the PMA has decided to “re-explore the hidden talents in the state of Nagaland.” He said the Association envisaged to promote and provide a bigger platform for various talents for further recognition. Kashito pointed out that the event’s earlier winner, ‘Faith in Action’ outstandingly stood as finalist at the national reality show, India’s Got Talent.
The contest will be in two categories – individual and group with winner prize money of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively along with proficiency award certificate and gift hampers to all the finalists. It was informed that registration forms can be collected from districts co-organizers including Dimapur - School of Music & Art Purana Bazaar 9862509755; Kohima – Lineage Enterprises 9856484156; Wokha – Highway Entertainment 9862931155; Mokokchung – Cosmos Hall Entertainment 9856542619 and Zunheboto – Emmanuel Music Academy 8794941609. Interested parties or groups willing to co-organize the event for other districts have been informed to visit PMA office Padumpukhuri or contact 9436405817. There is no age bar for any category of contests.
In June, district auditions will begin followed by elimination rounds in the month of July. The grand finale has been scheduled to be tentatively held on October.
Co-organiser for Dimapur and founder of School of Music & Art, Purana Bazaar, M. Kikon, said the organisers were sincere in exploring and promoting the state talents but expressed difficulties faced by them especially the lack of sponsors.
New faces who will be handling some of the evens for this year’s edition of Naga Talents Promo include female winner of Nagas Next Top Model, Lomi Kiba and bassist of girls band Vivace, Onen.
Earlier, Pastor of Sangtam Baptist Church Purana Bazaar, Apise Sangtam pronounced dedication prayer for the start of Naga Talents Promo 2014.
