Nagaland: 1 new COVID case, 12 recoveries

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 12 (MExN): One positive case of COVID-19 was detected in Nagaland on February 12, informed the Health Department’s daily bulletin today. 

Meanwhile 12 new patients also recovered from the infection. With this, the total caseload of the State so far is 12,176 while the number of recoveries is 11,861 and the number of active cases has come down to 77. 

The new case detected on Friday was a traced contact, informed the department. The positive case was detected out of 170 results received on the day. Meanwhile, 75 of the active cases in the State are asymptomatic and 2 have mild symptoms.    

The number of deaths in the State remained at 78 while 10 deaths are categorized as ‘not COVID related.’ Traced contacts continue to lead the most number of cases in the State with 41% followed by armed forces/security personnel (38%), returnees/travelers (15%) and frontline workers (5%)
