Kohima district has 100% access to electricity, road connectivity, telephone services and Government Primary School. Some of the least available basic amenities in the district are hospital, higher secondary school and community health centre.
This was stated in the 10th edition on the report of ‘Village Level Development Indicators’ brought out periodically by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Nagaland. The brochure contained information on the availability of basic amenities for the 1326 villages surveyed in Nagaland as on March 31, 2016.
Dimapur district: The district has 100% access to electricity and telephone service. Hospital, village library and government means of transport were the least available basic amenities in the district. Mokokchung district: Some of the 100% available basic amenities are electricity, telephone service and road connectivity.
Four villages in the district do not have Government Primary School as per the survey.
Some of the lacking basic amenities in the district are hospital, community health center and higher secondary school.
Wokha district: The district has 100% access to electricity, road connectivity, private means of transport, telephone service, Government Primary School and village community hall.
Some of the least available basic amenities are higher secondary school, hospital and internet.
Zunheboto district: The district has 100% facility only in the area of electricity.
Zaphmi is the only village in the district without telephone service.
Four villages namely Lumthsami, Lumami, Khughoto and Punebooa do not have Government Primary School.
Some of the least available basic amenities in the district are hospital, internet and higher secondary school.
Tuensang district: All the villages in the district have electricity, road connectivity and Government Primary School. 17 villages in the district are without telephone service.
The least available basic amenities in the district are hospital, veterinary dispensary and government means of transport.
Phek district: All the villages are electrified, connected by road, have telephone service, have government school and village community hall.
Some of the least available basic amenities in the district are internet facility, hospital and higher secondary school.
Mon District: All the villages in Mon district have 100% basic amenities in the areas of electricity, telephone service and government primary school. The district lacks basic amenities in internet facility, hospital and higher secondary school.
Peren district: The district has 100% availability of basic amenities in electricity, road connectivity, telephone service and Government Primary School. The district lacks in the area of community health centre, village library and higher secondary school.
Longleng district: Road connectivity and telephone service are the two basic amenities availed by all the villages in the district.
Aboiri village is the only village in the district without electricity. Also three villages namely, Aboiri village, Ametchong (UR) and Namching Compound do not have Government Primary School.
Internet, higher secondary school, community health centre, hospital, veterinary dispensary and proper drainage system are some of the lacking facilities.
Kiphire district: The district has 100% basic amenities in electricity and telephone service.
Four villages, namely Vongva, Ceoeyevong, Jenthy and Metonger do not have Government Primary School.
Some of the least available basic amenities in the district are internet facility, hospital, higher secondary school and veterinary dispensary.
