Nagaland: 21 new COVID-19 cases

21 new positive cases were detected in Nagaland on August 28, taking the State’s tally to 3,805. Meanwhile, 115 more recoveries were also reported on the same day. The total number of recoveries in Nagaland now stands at 2,858, while the number of active cases as of August 28 is 929. 

Of the new cases, Nagaland Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom informed that 10 are from Kohima, 7 from Dimapur, 2 from Zunheboto, and 1 each from Wokha and Mon. “Necessary contact tracing has been activated by our IDSP team,” the Minister stated.

Meanwhile, from the 115 new recoveries, 110 are in Dimapur and 5 in Kohima. All the recovered patients will be strictly monitored & be kept under constant surveillance, it was stated. 

Principle Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha meanwhile informed that 921 active cases are asymptomatic, 7 active cases are mild and 1 active case is moderate.

The total number of samples tested through RT-PCR whose results have been received till date is 35, 631. On Truenat the number of results received is 22,559, and through Rapid Antigen Test, results of 656 samples have been received. 
A total of 1,183 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
