Nagaland: 22 new positive cases, total COVID-19 tally at 978

Nagaland registered 22 new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday taking the State's total infections to 978.


“Out of 216 samples tested, 22 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed,” Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter in the afternoon. 


The new case include 11 in Peren, 8 in Dimapur  and 3 in Kohima, he said. 


The Minister, however, added that all the new cases were reported from quarantine centres.


With this, the COVID-19 status in Nagaland as of 1:53 PM, July 18 stood at: Positive: 978; Active- 573; and Recovered-405.

 

Dimapur has the most number of active cases with 224, followed by Kohima with 110, Peren with 108, Mon with 83, Tuensang with 28, Phek with 8, Mokokchung with 5, Longleng and Zunheboto with 2 each, and a single case in Wokha.
