
Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Nagaland as 26 more persons tested positive for on Wednesday.
The state’s tally of infections now stands at 3,778.
According to Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom who announced the news on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Wednesday’s new cases were reported from among 627 samples that were tested.
Out of the 26, Kohima reported 20 cases; four were from Dimapur while Mokokchung reported two new cases.
With this, the State has 1,149 active cases with 2,611 recovered out of 3,778 total cases, according to the daily briefing from state Home Secretary, Abhijit Sinha. He said that active surveillance and contact tracing is in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.
