Nagaland: 7 more patients recover from COVID-19

After a gap of nearly three days, Nagaland on June 24 reported 7 more ‘recoveries’ from COVID-19 though the actives cases remains high due to huge spike in last three days. 


“7 more patients have been recovered from COVID-19.  5 from Dimapur & 2 from Kohima,” updated the Minister for Health & Family Welfare Nagaland, S Pangnyu Phom on Twitter on June 24 evening. 


Nagaland reported another 17 fresh COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning taking the state’s total infections to 347 with 206 designated as active as of June 24, 10 AM.


However, with the new recoveries, the actives cases decreased to 199, while the total recoveries stood at 148 at the filing of this report.   


7 districts in Nagaland – Dimapur, Kohima, Peren, Phek, Mon, Zunheboto and Tuensang - have so far reported one or more cases of COVID-19.


As per the data given on Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard, out of the 347 cases, 240 were males and 107 were females.


Over 93% (or 326 persons) of the cases were among those belonging in the 18-44 years age group. There were 10 cases each in the 0-17 and 45- 64 years age groups. There was a single case in the 65 -74 age bracket. 


All cases were reported to be symptomatic.
