The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the Nagaland increased to 743 Saturday morning with 11 fresh cases even as the infection spread further across the districts with Wokha reporting its first case on July 10.


“Out of 310 samples tested, 11 more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 7 in Kohima, 3 in Mon & 1 in Mokokchung,” State Health and Family Welfare Minister informed on his Twitter update.


Total State COVID-19 status as of 9:20 AM on July 11, as per the Minister’s update stood at:- Positive : 743; Active: 439; and Recovered: 304.


Meanwhile, out of eleven districts in Nagaland, 9 have reported confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.  Wokha district, ‘immune’ to the virus so far, reported its first case on Friday. With this, only Longleng and Kiphire are yet to record any COVID-19 postive case in Nagaland. 


Peren continues to be the most affected with 139 active cases. This is followed by Kohima with 94 active cases, Dimapur with 83, Mon with 76, Tuensang with 29, Phek with 12, Mokokchung with 4, and Wokha and Zunheboto with 1 each.    

 
Information on Nagaland COVID-19 Dashboard stated that out of 743 cases, there were 556 males and 187 females.


Age-wise, 710 cases are in the 18-44 years age group while there were 16 each in 0-17 and 45 - 64 years age bracket. There was a single case in 65-74 years age group. 


The state is yet to report any death from the virus.
